IV. Evaluation

****NOTE : if not posted right now, evaluation is still in process. Thank you for being patient.

Production Logbook

***Warning - this post contains a lot of pictures and short descriptions.
  • WEEK 1
This week always contains the orientation on what we are going to do and looking for a client. It also involves the planning and thinking of ways on how to correct our mistakes in the past quarter. In this week we were introduced to our project called 'metal works'.

We also were able to find a client in need of our assistance.
  • WEEK 2
We finally start our production - well, not really. But we start by setting up the material and equipment needed together with thinking of a design. We also start measuring our metal and thinking about the other extra components we might like to add.
  • WEEK 3
We still haven't had a final decision on the design but we are sure that it's going to be an organizer with a somewhat rectangular or square body. We also added angle bars to our artefact because we think that it would help with the structure of our product. Since it was long we decided to cut it.
  • WEEK 4
We have a final design which is posted in our Design Post so you should go and check it out. It's an organizer that well.... organizes. And we're pretty sure that it will hopefully do its job. So time to get to work.
  • WEEK 5
Blog. We need to blog but it's hard and you know... But still we haven't really done the blog properly so if this is posted right now then it's a miracle. We're still cutting again but don't blame us it's harder than it looks. There will be definitely a lot of cutting involved. Also we updated our blog and decided to write some posts that our still in our 'draft' box.
  • WEEK 6
Welding just happened. After we finished cutting our angle bars we welded and I don't mean us, I mean Sir of course. It was cool and light sparkled so yeah....
  • WEEK 7
Stressing. Cramming. Last Week. Due to all these random things going on, someone got injured and - oh look there's blood, it got slightly bloody. It was nothing major but more progress made this week.

II. DESIGNING

This is the overview of our final artefact:

I. INVESTIGATION

This section contains the data, sketches, and research that we did to come up with our final design. This section is divided into different parts:

  • Research

Metal and mesh combined to create different typres of organizers          ---- >

Here are some of our RESEARCHED ideas. We all know that every great inventor or just a person like me needs inspiration. We got some pictures from the internet that gave us an idea on what our final product might be.
  • Brain Storming Design Ideas
As we created and 'looked inside our brains' for different designs for our end product, we were lost. Our minds were filled with lost thoughts and unfinished ideas. An original idea? That can't be too hard. No, it's really hard. But when we put our heads together, we were able to come up with:

a.) An Ordinary Organizer
b.) A More Suitable Organizer

Amazing, right?
  • Preferred Options
In the end of all that 'mind mapping', we have finally done it. We had chosen to create an organizer with a screwdriver holder and LED or a container that would store wires. It would also have a drawer for more important materials that would provide a safe storage space. The final output would also have a size that would be 'not to big or not to small'.

At first we thought of an ordinary organizer but we preferred our last option because it would be more suitable for out client that having your ordinary organizer that would hold books and whatnot.
